The Earth Gives us the food we eat
The Sun warms it and makes it sweet
And we remember all who give
Of themselves so we may live

The wind and creatures spread the seeds
That one day my family feeds
They’re nourished when the rain falls down
And men and women tend the ground
Birds and fish and mighty beasts
All these have fallen to our feasts
All across the fertile land
Our meal has passed from hand to hand
We do not forget all those who give
Of themselves so we may live
