Grapes are a chemical-heavy crop, so consider choosing organic raisins. Also be sure to read the labels as some raisins are doused with sulfides to protect their color.
Dried fruit is suitable for all winter celebrations to remind us that our ancestors subsisted through the winter on preserved food like raisins.
