Drawing down the moon is a Wiccan invocation ritual, or more specifically, an adorcism ritual, that some related traditions have adopted. During the ritual, the practitioner, usually a High Priestess, invokes the Goddess, symbolized by the full moon, into the self. The Goddess then speaks and interacts with other people present with the practitioner acting as medium. Drawing Down the Moon: Witches, Druids, Goddess-Worshippers, and Other Pagans in America is a book by Margot Adler published in 1986.
